Job Summary

At Massachusetts Equine Clinic in Uxbridge, MA, our Equine Veterinary Assistants are the vital right hand to our veterinarians-keeping them organized, supported, and ready to provide exceptional care. We're a busy, full-service equine practice offering ambulatory care, hospitalization, sports medicine, reproduction services, gastroscopy and endoscopy, pre-purchase exams, diagnostics, lameness evaluations, surgery, and emergency care.

This is a dynamic, hands-on role that blends top-notch horse handling skills with strong organizational know-how. As an Equine Veterinary Assistant, you'll work side-by-side with our veterinarians both in the field and at the clinic-restraining and handling horses safely, preparing and administering medications, assisting with a variety of procedures, maintaining and preparing equipment, and keeping our mobile veterinary trucks stocked, clean, and ready to roll. You'll also be responsible for driving the clinic's work vehicle to farms, managing inventory and restocking, keeping detailed medical records, processing billing, having clear and empathetic client communication, and helping the veterinarian stay on track during busy appointment days.
