About The Position
Job Title : Cardiac Surgical Technologist
Profession : Surgical Technologist
Specialty : Operating Room
Duration : 13 weeks
Shift : 6 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM
Hours per Shift : 10
Experience : Minimum of 1 year of Cardiac Operating Room experience required.
License : Not specified
Certifications : BLS required, CST preferred but not required.
Must-Have : Experience with CABG, AVR, MVR, and Ascending Aortic Repairs.
Comfortability to wear lead.
Description : ASAP start needed.
Manager interviews will be conducted.
The facility has 2 Operating Rooms specific to Cardiovascular Surgery.
The average number of CVOR cases performed per day is typically 3 to 4.
Support on the unit includes a Supervisor / Manager, Assistant Manager, and designated Team Leaders for each service line.
CRNAs and Anesthesiologists will be present.
Anesthesia Technicians will assist with room turnover.
Orderly staff will also help with turnover.
EMR system experience required.
Floating is not applicable.
Scheduling details will be discussed during the interview.
Weekend rotation is approximately 1 weekend day per 4-week schedule for surgical technologists.
Call requirements for RN and Surgical Technologist positions are negotiable.
Minimal holiday expectations will depend on the schedule.
Surgical scrubs will be provided.
