Full-Time | Outdoor Work Required | May Rotate Between PropertiesJob Overview: Apartment Services, Inc. is seeking a dependable and hard-working Groundskeeper to join our team! In this role, you'll play a vital part in keeping the property clean, safe, and well-maintained year-round. You'll support the on-site Service Supervisor by handling daily landscaping tasks, maintaining common areas, and responding to seasonal needs such as snow removal.
Key Responsibilities: - Walk the property daily to pick up trash, remove debris, and maintain dog waste stations and dumpster areas
- Perform routine landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, and mulching
- Use hand tools and power equipment (leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, etc.)
- Remove snow and apply salt to sidewalks and steps during winter weather
- Keep the maintenance shop organized and stocked
- Report safety hazards and maintenance concerns to the Service Supervisor
- Assist with unit "make-ready" tasks as requested
- Follow company safety procedures and property security protocols
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications: - Ability to operate power tools and landscaping equipment
- Basic knowledge of landscaping techniques and outdoor maintenance
- Good time management and attention to detail
- Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team
Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in a physically active role
- Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and kneeling required
- Able to work in various weather conditions (heat, cold, snow, rain)
- Must provide a current phone number and email address
- Valid driver's license required
- Use of a vehicle for the entirety of each scheduled shift is mandatory; may be assigned to work at multiple properties
- Available for emergency response during inclement weather events
