Position Summary :

The  Internal Medicine-HIV Specialist Physician is responsible for providing comprehensive care to HIV patients 16 years of age and older , including preventative care and management of common and complex diseases. The Internist / HIV specialist must be able to effectively diagnose patients and suggest a course of treatment and prescribe and administer medications, immunizations, and other non-surgical treatments. Cultural sensitivity to members of the LGBTQIA+ community is essential.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

• Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers
• Provides direct patient care and consultation to CHC primary care patients
• Maintenance of a clinic panel of people living with HIV and other patients appropriate to ongoing infectious disease oversight
• Prescribe or administer medication, therapy and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease or injury
• Provide health and wellness advice; order age appropriate screenings, immunize patients against preventable diseases
• Maintains complete patient records using the Electronic Medical record and complies with all reporting mechanisms
• Ensures compliance with the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services Ambulatory Care Regulations for Licensure as well as requirements of other licensing and accrediting bodies, health maintenance organizations and other insurance carriers
• Collaborates in the provision of in-service education for staff
• Adheres to CHC infection control and safety policies, and guidelines of regulatory agencies
• Participates in community outreach programs regarding CHC services and program

In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the total compensation range for this position is USD $200,000.00  to USD $$296,000.00. When determining an offer, VNA Health Group considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's work experience, education / training, relevant skills, internal pay equity, and market and organizational conditions. The total compensation range reflects the total package, including base salary, overtime, bonuses, add-on incentives, special clinical compensation, retirement plans, and all other benefits.
