Litigation Attorney
Location : Burlingame, CA
Pay Rate : $80 to $100 per hour
Job Type : Full-Time, Contract or Contract-to-Hire, Onsite
LHH is working with a Civil Litigation firm in Burlingame, CA, seeking a skilled Contract Litigation Attorney. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation, with at least 3+ years of experience handling pleadings, motions, discovery, and document review. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking for a dynamic work environment with the potential for a long-term role.
Responsibilities :
Legal Research & Analysis : Conduct thorough legal research to develop case strategies and support litigation.
Pleadings & Motions : Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, and other court documents in a timely manner.
Discovery Management : Draft and respond to discovery requests, handle depositions, and participate in discovery-related proceedings.
Document Review : Analyze and review documents for case relevance, accuracy, and strategic importance.
Case Strategy & Client Communication : Assist in developing case strategies and communicate effectively with clients regarding case progress.
Qualifications :
Bar Admission : Active member in good standing with the California State Bar.
Experience : Minimum 3 years of experience in civil litigation defense, preferably in insurance defense, commercial litigation, or general liability.
Legal Skills : Strong knowledge of California civil procedure, court rules, and litigation strategies.
Writing & Research : Excellent legal research and writing skills with experience drafting pleadings and motions.
Discovery Experience : Ability to manage discovery requests, review documents, and prepare for depositions.
Work Ethic : Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently while collaborating with a legal team.
