Med / Surg RN Job Details Assignment Length : 12 weeks (Start : December 1, 2025 – End : February 23, 2026) Healthcare Setting : Medical Surgical Unit (Med Surg 5 / 6A) Shift : 3x12-hour day shifts (06 : 45 – 19 : 15), every other weekend required Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Pay : $1460–$1500 On-Site Position : Yes Patient Population : Adults and Geriatrics Location : Newnan, GA 30265 (Greater Atlanta area) Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Georgia or Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of application) At least 1 year of recent Med / Surg RN experience (first-time travel nurses welcome) BLS (Basic Life Support) and NIHSS certifications required Experience with Epic electronic health record system preferred Community hospital and LTAC (Long-Term Acute Care) experience preferred Ability to float within facility and scope of practice as needed Two supervisory references (Manager or above) required Full compliance with onboarding requirements prior to start date Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with conditions such as stroke, COPD, AKI, chest pain, diabetes, COVID-19, pneumonia, and other medical / surgical diagnoses Manage a patient ratio of 1 : 6 during days, nights, and weekends Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform comprehensive patient assessments Utilize clinical skills including isolation precautions, telemetry, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, peripheral IV care, and rapid response / code team activation Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and more) Accurately document patient care and interventions in the electronic health record (Epic preferred) Participate in self-scheduling and attend required orientation sessions Work every other weekend and be available for major holidays as per assignment requirements Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
