Warehouse Loader

POSITION OVERVIEW:

This position is located within the Mid-Atlantic Distribution Center is responsible for unloading and loading of fruit at our warehouse. The incumbent provides a wide variety of support to the entire DC. This includes discharge and receiving of product. The successful candidate will he/she must be forward thinking, organized, efficient and self-motivated to complete responsibilities in a timely manner without direct instruction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Unload and load product as directed by manager/supervisor.
• Start gen set/reefer container units and confirm proper operation for loading outbound orders.
• Inspect fruit inbound and outbound for pulp temps and proper color spec.
• Daily use and inspections of Forklifts.
• Ensure compliance with corporate food safety guidelines. This includes training and knowledge of GMP and HACCP/Food Safety guidelines and the application of these guidelines in day to day activities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma required.
• English preferred/Spanish a plus.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment.
• Strong Analytical skills.

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:

• Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled warehouse environment, including cold storage areas.
• Ability to lift up to 50 Lbs. banana boxes up to 80" off the ground 80-140 times per day.
• Incumbent may stand for long periods of time.
• Incumbent may use calculators, frequent use of basic math is mandatory.
• Stooping, bending, twisting, lifting, pulling, pushing and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.
