Associate Controls Engineer
As an Associate Controls Engineer, you will be crucial to ALC's business through the designing of building automation systems created specifically for each individual customer. We are looking for someone who works well in a team and has excellent problem-solving, time management, and multi-tasking skills. You will work to build new skills and advance existing skills while completing smaller projects on your own. Essential Job Responsibilities :
- Design and program building automation systems, site-specific configuration of control system, and control algorithms.
- Adhere to project requirements and company and customer standards of design, programming, and implementation.
- Create a clear design document for project teams with technical information.
- Document and communicate the building automation system design and revisions.
- Develop graphical and text-based interfaces for building automation systems.
- Test programming and interfaces prior to implementation.
- Provide technical support to sales representatives to ensure customers' needs are met.
- Identify and communicate project opportunities and risks.
- Support functional testing for building systems.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree with internship experience in Building Automation and / or HVACPreferred Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering or construction discipline.Experience in HVAC controls, Building Automation, or related industry.Basic knowledge of primary functions of building automation system software and associated engineering tools, Automated Logic suites preferred.Basic knowledge of Automated Logic software, peripherals, add-ons, services, or hardware design.Understanding and / or experience with IP networksUnderstanding and / or experience with Microsoft Visio and / or similar software.Ability to understand written sequences of operations, diagrammatic depictions of systems.Familiar with third-party communication protocols used in building automation, such as BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, LON, N2, etc.Able to translate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade, and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs.
