Custodian Position

The Custodian is responsible for cleaning and grounds upkeep of The Salvation Army facilities in the Fox Cities. Help make a difference by serving those in need and apply today!

About the role :

• Perform daily janitorial duties at the Social Services Building, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning restrooms, emptying trash and restocking supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, soap).
• Clean the gym and kitchen following the noon meal program.
• Provide janitorial services at the Badger Avenue Building on a regular schedule.
• Provide, on occasion, custodial support at the Worship and Community Center building.
• Strip and wax floors, as needed.
• Maintain the exterior of the Social Services Building by removing trash and items left on sidewalks and grounds.
• Perform light seasonal work such as snow removal, gardening and leaf raking.
• Assist with the setup and cleanup of seasonal programs, including Red Kettles, Coats for Kids and Toy Shop.
• Carry out routine maintenance tasks according to the established schedule in coordination with the Facilities Maintenance Technician.
• Communicate maintenance needs, safety concerns and supply inventory updates to the supervisor.

Education : High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Experience : Previous commercial cleaning experience is preferred.

Certifications : Valid Wisconsin Driver's License with clearance to drive from TSA insurance.
