• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM
• One-year recent nursing experience preferred
• Every other weekend requirement
• No on-call responsibilities
• Nurse to patient ratio of 5 : 1 to 6 : 1 depending on staffing
• Float per facility standards
• Current Louisiana or COMPACT RN license required
• Current BLS via AHA certification required
• Current ACLS via AHA certification required
• Care for cardiac and telemetry patients (not stepdown unit)
• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients and families
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• All newly hired RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days
• Complete annual competency verification requirements
• Temp to perm possibility available
