This role supports Telemundo and Latin American operations and partners closely with Business Continuity, Crisis Management, and Global Security to promote a strong culture of safety and compliance across all environments. / ppThe EHS Manager will serve as a key expert for the business to safeguard employees, ensure legal compliance, and protect the environment. The EHS Manager is the main point of contact for the EHS Department with the operational groups. They will be the resource for addressing EHS issues proactively and will conduct inspections and audits of work activities to promote safe and compliant operations. / ppstrongPrimary Responsibilities : / strong / pulliDevelop, implement, and maintain safety programs and policies to ensure a safe work environment for all employees and guests. / liliPartner across departments to identify and resolve EHS issues, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements. / liliLead investigations of injuries, incidents, and emergencies; perform root-cause analyses, share learnings, and implement corrective actions. / liliManage and update EHS policies, procedures, and tools to maintain compliance with local and corporate standards. / liliProvide EHS education and training for employees, supervisors, and management to promote safety awareness and regulatory compliance. / liliConduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments; track action items and ensure timely resolution of findings. / liliIdentify and mitigate potential risks to people, property, and operations through proactive safety planning and controls. / liliSupport and oversee EHS committee meetings, reports, and metrics to drive continuous improvement. / liliManage contractor safety programs and provide guidance to vendors and partners to maintain compliance. / liliLiaise with regulatory and government agencies, including OSHA and local authorities, during inspections or inquiries. / liliParticipate in production planning, tech scouts, and on-site events to identify hazards and provide real-time safety guidance. / liliOversee environmental programs related to waste management, pollution prevention, and monitoring. / liliMaintain accurate documentation in Gensuite, ensuring timely tracking and closure of inspections, incidents, and action items. / liliCollaborate with internal and external teams on working groups, audits, and industry initiatives. / liliRespond to emergencies and EHS hotline calls, including after hours when required. / li / ulh3Qualifications / h3pstrongBasic Qualifications : / strong / pulliCompleted Bachelors degree in EHS, engineering, chemistry or biology or another related field / liliMinimum five (5) years experience in the Environmental Health and Safety program and projects. / liliExperience in implementing and reviewing / auditing an EHS Management System. / liliMust have working knowledge of US EPA, US OSHA, and US DOT regulations. / li / ulpstrongDesired Characteristics : / strong / pulliComfortable working in an environment where your direction will only occur through the powers of influence. / liliAn understanding of the legislative structure of US OSHA, US EPA, US DOT regulations, and ergonomic and Industrial Hygiene Practices. / liliProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and associated tools (with an emphasis on PowerPoint, Adobe, SharePoint) / liliSelf-motivated, with the capability to work with minimum supervision, and must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive the implementation of key EHS initiatives. / liliExcellent professional verbal, written, and presentation skills, and detail oriented. / liliCompleted masters degree in EHS or related fields. / liliCertified Safety Professional or Certified Industrial Hygienist. / liliStrong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines under pressure. / liliExperience working with cross-functional teams across international locations, especially in Latin America. / liliExperience in the television and / or live entertainment industry is preferred. / li / ulpstrongEligibility Requirements : / strong / pulliInterested candidate must submit a resume / CV through www.nbcunicareers.com to be considered. / liliPosition requires the individual to travel domestically and internationally. / liliAbility to work extended hours, weekday nights, on weekends, and holidays as needed. / liliMust be willing to work in Miami, FL. / liliMust have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States. / liliMust be 18 years or older. / liliMust be willing to submit to a background investigation / li / ulpstrongAdditional Information / strong / ppThis position is required to be performed full-time on site from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite / ph3Additional Information / h3pAs part of our selection process, external candidates may be required to attend an in-person interview with an NBCUniversal employee at one of our locations prior to a hiring decision.
