Could you be the full-time onsite Fleet Support Engineer in New Castle, DE, US we're looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside dedicated, knowledgeable, and collaborative teammates. You'll provide pivotal technical support and leadership, ensuring the highest service performance of our fleet. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (such as Services and Rolling Stock Engineering teams, Maintenance Planner), analyze real-time data using advanced tools like TrainTracer and HealthHub, and much more.

We'll look to you for

• Analyzing and filtering real-time data for immediate advice to Control Room and drivers during service disruptions
• Early detection of maintenance needs through predictive and condition-based maintenance strategies
• Generating and dispatching failure notifications and assisting with the creation of notifications / Workorders for maintenance teams
• Supporting the maintenance planner by allocating estimated intervention times and updating equipment counters
• Assisting DEPOS with log downloads and functional troubleshooting, as well as providing answers to technical questions
• Keeping the team informed of current engineering fixes for fleet reliability issues
• Conducting background analysis of data to support Alstom teams in improving / sustaining rolling stock reliability
• Remotely assisting Amtrak staff with maintenance operations using advanced technology like augmented-reality glasses
• Participating in a 'hands-on' induction phase, including business travel for on-site training and validations
• Reporting to the Lead Fleet Support Engineer and collaborating with internal and external teams for efficient operations
