Job Title : Collections Agent

Pay Rate : $21-$26 / hr BOE

Location : Richardson, TX

Schedule : Full-time | M-F Traditional Business Hours

Overview :

CornerStone Staffing is seeking a dedicated Collector to join their fast-paced, goal-driven collections department. This role focuses on reducing delinquent loans and credit union losses by managing early-stage delinquent accounts and providing outstanding member service.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage a portfolio of delinquent accounts through phone, email, and mail communication
  • Investigate and resolve past-due payments and account discrepancies
  • Process refunds, account adjustments, and send compliance notifications
  • Collaborate with departments including Lending, Card Services, and Member Support
  • Assist members with questions related to loan servicing and credit union products
  • Maintain performance metrics including delinquency and charge-off ratios

Requirements :

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1–2 years of collections or call center experience preferred
  • Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online collection systems
  • Ability to interpret and apply internal policies and regulatory guidelines

    • Preferred Experience :

  • Previous work in a credit union or financial institution
  • Familiarity with accounts receivable and billing procedures
