As a Security Officer - Retail Site Patrol in North East, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure and welcoming environment within a retail and mall setting. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and engaging with visitors, staff, and customers to provide outstanding customer service. You will respond promptly to any security-related concerns, assist with incident reporting, and collaborate closely with the on-site team. What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the retail environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure atmosphere.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Collaborate with store personnel and Allied Universal management to support a positive experience for visitors and staff.
  • Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site-specific procedures.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
