Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room - $2,558 per week in Albuquerque, NM

ID : 73905156 Shift : 0630-1900 3x12 Hr Description : Floating between departments and or local locations within 20 miles is required.Job Summary : -Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift. -Ensures safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients. -Provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses. -Coordinates patient care through collaboration with the patient / family and healthcare team. -Initiates, utilizes, and documents appropriate protocols and standards of care. -Administers medication and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols and documents according to policy. -Identifies and meets patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout the episode of care. -Assumes responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel. -Completes patient population / age-specific / procedure and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards.Skills : Required Skills & Experience : -Minimum two (2) years current experience required in large OR. -Candidate must be able to scrub. -Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to fast paced environment. -Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment. Preferred Skills & Experience : -Epic experience preferred, but not required; can train on-site. -Ortho, EENT, and / or vascular experience a plus.Education : Required Education : One of the following is required : -Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN).-Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN). Preferred Education : -N / A Required Certifications & Licensure : -State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License. -BLS required. -BLS, (ACLS, and PALS if obtained) must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.
