Under the direct supervision of the Director of Advising Services, this position provides clerical and front desk support for the Advising & Transfer Center along with other student service areas. This position provides exceptional customer service and support to students, faculty, staff and the general public in person, virtually via zoom, phone, chat, and email. The person in this position is responsible for greeting students and visitors, scheduling appointments, processing schedule changes, referring students as appropriate, and other duties as assigned by the Director. The person in this position will be a highly organized, motivated and engaging representative of the college who exhibits strong critical thinking skills, values diversity in all its forms, and contributes to an overall positive working environment.
REQUIRED :
Three years of full-time, or equivalent part-time experience in office work or substitutions for experience as described in State Classification Specifications;
Experience with administrative or clerical work;
Demonstrated proficiency with : Google Workspace (G-Suite);Microsoft office programs, such as Word and Excel;
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume office;
Excellent communication, organizational, and writing skills;
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and the ability to work effectively with all faculty, staff, and students;
Ability to use Critical Thinking, Relationship Building, Organizational and problem-solving skills.

PREFERRED :
Experience in a college support service setting;
Banner and / or EAB Navigate experience;
Familiarity with Zoom room management;
Experience working in a community college setting.
Full-time, AFSCME unit position .
Bi-Weekly salary : $1,894.66 (Grade 13, Step 1), plus a comprehensive State benefits package.
Hours : 37.5 hours / week
