Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Kahului, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the assigned area, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all visitors and staff. You will be relied upon for your strong communication skills and your ability to remain calm and professional in a variety of situations. Position Type : Full Time

Pay Rate : $23.53 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Mon 06 : 00 AM - 06 : 00 PM

Tue 07 : 30 AM - 05 : 31 PM

Sun 06 : 00 AM - 06 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and performing emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to observe for any unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and report any suspicious activity.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Communicate and collaborate with site personnel, visitors, and local law enforcement as needed to address security-related matters.
  • Remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times while on duty, adapting to varying working environments and conditions as required by the location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Possession of a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
  • A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
