Licensing and Tax Compliance Specialist

Player One Amusement Group , has an immediate full-time opening for the position of Licensing and Tax Compliance Specialist for our Corporate office located in Fort Worth, TX 76117 .

The hiring range for this role starts at $58K annually, depending on experience.

P1AG employs over 500 people in 21 offices throughout Canada and the United States. One of North America’s leading providers of interactive video, redemption, amusement gaming and vending equipment, it specializes in solution servicing and design for a wide range of customers in the theatrical exhibition vertical as well as community-based entertainment destinations such as bowling centers, restaurants, arcades, shopping centers and water parks.

Key Areas of Responsibility :

  • Prepare and file applications, renewals, and other documentation related to business licenses across various states and local jurisdictions in the U.S.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external agencies to ensure timely submission and approval of licenses.
  • Monitor expiration dates and regulatory changes to maintain continuous compliance.
  • Prepare, file, and submit payments for personal property taxes in all applicable locations across the U.S.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and timely remittance to avoid penalties and maintain compliance.
  • Maintain records and documentation for audits and internal review.
  • Handle the preparation and submission of amusement license applications and renewals across all operating jurisdictions.
  • Ensure all amusement licensing obligations are met in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Work closely with operations and legal teams to manage new licensing requirements or changes.
  • Liaise with accounting, route, compliance, and operations teams to ensure accurate and complete information is used for all filings.
  • Maintain a detailed and organized filing system for all licensing and tax-related documents.
  • Stay informed of legislative changes that may affect licensing and tax compliance responsibilities.

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in licensing, tax compliance, or a related administrative role preferred
  • Familiarity with U.S. state and local tax and licensing requirements
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with tax or licensing software is a plus

  • Time Management : Must be able to prioritize tasks, meet strict filing deadlines, and manage simultaneous workflows efficiently.
  • Adaptability : Jurisdictional requirements and regulations can change frequently; the ability to adjust quickly and remain compliant is vital.
  • Process-Oriented Thinking : Ability to follow established procedures while also identifying opportunities to improve workflows and reduce risk.
  • Problem-Solving : When issues arise, such as rejected filings or ambiguous regulations, the ability to research, resolve, and escalate appropriately is key.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Standard office environment
  • High level of concentration and attention to detail required for accurate completion of forms, spreadsheets, and filings related to licensing and tax compliance
  • Extended periods of computer use and data entry
  • Occasional need to manage tight deadlines and multiple simultaneous filings
