Job Description:

The Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring that all areas are kept clean and presentable to create a comfortable and welcoming environment. The Housekeeper works closely with the housekeeping team and reports directly to the Housekeeping Director.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain assigned areas, including resident's rooms, corridors, lobbies, public areas, and back-of- house areas, ensuring they meet established standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish floors regularly to remove dirt, debris, and stains.

• Dust and wipe surfaces, including furniture, fixtures, windowsills, and baseboards, to maintain a clean and attractive appearance.

• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as necessary.

• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and countertops, replenishing supplies as needed.

• Restock housekeeping carts with clean linens, towels, toiletries, and other supplies.

• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager immediately.

• Follow established safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs with no assistance

Required skills:

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

• Attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.

• Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy objects, standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.

• Good communication skills to interact with residents, coworkers, and supervisors in a professional and courteous manner.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemical usage.

• Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations related to housekeeping operations.

• COVID-19 vaccination is required including booster

Required Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

• Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field is a plus.

• Familiarity with cleaning equipment and supplies is a plus.

• Ability to Speak in English.

• Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
