Job description

As a Registered Physical Therapist, you will evaluate and treat disorders affecting human movement across all age groups, from newborns to geriatrics. Your role involves developing and implementing comprehensive care plans tailored to patient needs, ensuring effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams, and maintaining compliance with privacy regulations related to Protected Health Information (PHI).

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform duties within the scope of practice as defined by licensing boards.
  • Provide clinical oversight to Physical Therapy Assistants.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to organizational policies.
  • Educate patients on physical care aspects to support recovery and wellness.
  • Foster professional relationships with patients, peers, physicians, and external agencies.

Education and Experience

  • Education meeting licensure requirements at the time of issuance.
  • Current licensure in Physical Therapy through the appropriate state board.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification from an approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar clinical environment is advantageous.

    • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of physical therapy principles.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.

    • Physical Requirements

    This role involves medium work, including occasional lifting up to 50 pounds and frequent standing or walking for 26-50% of the workday. Accommodations may be provided as needed.
