Job Summary:
Fox Powersports (Grand Rapids) is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our warehouse team as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk. This role involves assisting with the accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory records, and supporting general warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and condition.
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company and carrier standards.
- Label packages accurately and ensure all necessary documentation is included.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment (training provided if needed).
- Maintain clean and organized shipping and receiving areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock organization.
- Communicate with supervisors or vendors about any shipment discrepancies.
- Follow all safety guidelines and company policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior experience recommended; on-the-job training provided.
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Forklift certification a plus (but not required at entry level).
Work Environment:
- Warehouse setting with potential exposure to varying temperatures.
- May require occasional overtime during busy shipping periods.
