Overview

Optomi, in partnership with one of the leading companies in the Entertainment Industry, is seeking an experienced Technical Writer for a contract position in Bristol, CT. This Technical Writer will be responsible for driving improvements across internal business support tools and processes while balancing day-to-day operational execution with strategic workflow optimization. This Technical Writer will enjoy the opportunity to make high-impact process improvements and work with cutting-edge business tools while supporting the organization's operational efficiency initiatives.

Experience of the right candidate :

  • 2-5 years of experience in customer relationship management, applications support, or development.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent training or work experience.
  • Strong experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence) and data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, PowerBI).
  • Moderate experience with Airtable and ServiceNow platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to adapt style for diverse audiences.
  • Experience maintaining style guides and documentation with proven ability to write knowledge-based articles.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with partner teams to deliver high-quality results.
  • Basic knowledge of Project Management, Agile / Scrum / Kanban Methodology, and Engineering Practices.
  • Analytical, resourceful, and detail-oriented with ability to plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines in fast-paced environments.
  • Responsibilities of the right candidate :

  • Translate complex technical concepts, systems, and processes into clear, accurate documentation and presentations.
  • Organize and structure information logically, applying effective information design principles in line with company standards.
  • Review and edit documents for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines.
  • Actively collaborate with engineers, developers, subject-matter experts, and stakeholders to gather accurate information.
  • Serve as key point of contact for stakeholders across locations, business areas, and teams.
  • Gather requirements and work with engineers to define enhancements and small-scale solutions.
  • Resolve simple to moderately complex customer or product issues independently.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance on handling complex issues within area of knowledge.
  • Contribute to operational efficiency by supporting creation of tools, processes, and support documentation.
