We are seeking an experienced and technically skilled Centrifugal Chiller Technician to join our service team. This role is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining large tonnage centrifugal chillers and associated systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of chiller operations, strong troubleshooting abilities, and a commitment to safety and quality. You'll be part of a trusted team that supports some of the region's most complex and mission-critical mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs / overhaul on centrifugal chillers and related equipmentTroubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on HVAC systemsConduct start-ups, commissioning, and performance testing on chillers and controlsInterpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals for equipment operationMaintain accurate service reports and documentationCommunicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients regarding system performance and service needsAdhere to all company, safety, and regulatory requirementsQualifications
5+ years of experience servicing centrifugal chillers (York, Trane, Carrier, Daikin, or similar)In-depth understanding of refrigerant systems, controls, and compressor operationStrong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skillsEPA 608 Universal Certification and TDLR requiredOEM factory training or certification preferred (York, Trane, Carrier, etc.)Ability to work independently and manage multiple service assignmentsBasic computer skillsValid driver's license and insurable driving recordexperienced service technician, service tech, journeyman technician, hvac service, ac, duct, boiler, service hvac jobs
