The Agency You'll Join The New York City Mayor's Office is responsible for overseeing city services throughout the five boroughs, coordinating public agencies and departments, and managing public property. New York City Mayor Eric Adams is head of the executive branch of New York City's government. Previously, Mayor Adams has served the people of New York City as an NYPD officer, state senator, and Brooklyn borough president. The Adams' administration is leading the fight to serve the people of the greatest city in the world, ensuring delivery of efficient and effective services, working to make New York City's economy stronger, reducing inequality, improving public safety, and making the city more affordable that meets the needs of all New Yorkers. The Team You'll Work With The Office of the Chief of Staff to the Mayor consists of a team dedicated to advancing and executing the Administration's agenda. The Office manages executive operations pertaining to the Mayor's policies, agenda, schedule, events, and day-to-day needs. The team led by the Mayor's Chief of Staff coordinates the operations of the Office of International Affairs, the Office of Operations, the Office of Special Projects and Community Events, the Office of Citywide Event Coordination and Management, Gracie Mansion, and the Office of Correspondence, the Office of Engagement, the Office of Emerging Markets, the Office of Sports, Wellness, and Recreation, and the Office of Asylum Seeker Operations.
The Problems You'll Solve The Policy Advisor will support the Chief of Staff team at large by performing the following functions :

About You - You are highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize conflicting demands. You have the flexibility to meet unpredictable demands. You have the ability to work independently and within a fast-paced environment. You have excellent time management skills. You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You have the ability to prioritize workload and function effectively within and outside the office. You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Qualifications - A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college. Experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above.
