Med / Surg RN Job Details

Location : Hickory, NC 28601 (North Carolina healthcare job)

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Assignment

Unit : Medical / Surgical (Med / Surg); Orthopedic nursing experience highly preferred

Start Date : October 19, 2025

End Date : January 18, 2026

Duration : 13-week contract

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Patient Ratio : 1 : 5

Orientation : Comprehensive orientation offered twice monthly

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1630 - $1750 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state (required for travel nursing jobs)

At least 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience in a hospital or clinical setting

Experience with post-surgical and orthopedic patients is highly beneficial

Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Excellent communication, clinical, and teamwork skills

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients, including post-surgical and orthopedic cases

Monitor patient status, perform assessments, and administer medications as prescribed

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Accurately document patient care and maintain detailed medical records

Promote a safe, supportive, and patient-focused environment for all
