System Administrator

Our client is seeking a System Administrator for an onsite, full-time permanent position paying $100,000 – $115,000 annually. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and servers. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, security, and performance of network and server infrastructure, manage backup and disaster recovery, and administer Active Directory environments. Candidates must be Green Card Holders or US Citizens.


Primary Responsibilities

• Configure new IT hardware, including servers and networking equipment.
  
  
• Manage and monitor internal assets to maintain accurate inventory records.
  
  
• Proactively monitor network and server reliability, usage, and performance to ensure security and availability.
  
  
• Analyze and resolve infrastructure issues.
  
  
• Apply system patches according to policy.
  
  
• Manage backup infrastructure, ensuring all systems are backed up as needed.
  
  
• Monitor backups to meet RPO/RTO goals and conduct backup testing per policy.
  
  
• Manage disaster recovery site, ensuring replication meets RPO/RTO goals and test failovers as required.
  
  
• Administer on-premises Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and Office 365 suite.
  
  
• Provide Level 2 support to users and respond to network access issues.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  
  
• Ability to configure IT hardware.
  
  
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols and operating systems, including Windows and VMware ESXi.
  
  
• Solid understanding of backup and disaster recovery systems and processes.
  
  
• Ability to prioritize and schedule preventive maintenance for network and system health.
  
  
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain user satisfaction.
