Test Engineering Manager

The Test Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the team responsible for the development, automation, and execution of complex RF test strategies to support new product introductions (NPI), high-volume manufacturing, and customer validation.

The Test Engineering Manager must have deep expertise in RF Power Amplifier and MMIC (Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit) testing and requires hands-on experience with advanced test equipment, including the Keysight PNAX (PNA-X) network analyzer, OpenTAP automation platform, and scripting proficiency in Python.

Salary Range : $175,000 - $195,000 per year

Job Function

• Lead and mentor a team of RF test engineers responsible for MMIC and RF PA testing across R&D and production.
• Develop and maintain automated test systems for RF characterization and validation.
• Design, implement, and optimize test plans using Keysight PNAX, spectrum analyzers, power meters, and signal generators.
• Continuously update, optimize and track the work in process view (WIP) of the test engineering team's activities.
• Build scalable and reusable OpenTAP or other software test sequences integrated with Python scripting for automation and data analysis.
• Collaborate closely with design, product, and process engineering teams to define test requirements, KPIs, and yield targets.
• Drive root cause analysis for test failures and lead corrective action implementation.
• Interface with global manufacturing and test partners to ensure consistency and reliability of test processes.
• Analyze large datasets to extract performance trends, identify outliers, and support product improvement initiatives.
• Define and enforce test engineering best practices, documentation standards, and test infrastructure strategies.
• Own continuous improvement initiatives to reduce test time, increase test coverage, and improve first-pass yield.
• Ability to perform quick, efficient RF testing without automation when required for immediate results and assessment on path forward with design team.
