2+ years of NICU experience

Description :

Level 2B - Special Care Nursery.

The unit encompasses labor and delivery, postpartum, newborn nursery, two ORs, and additional rooms for specialized care.

Years of experience required : 3 years.

Skill sets required : Special Care Nursery and Newborn Care.

Floating is not required.

Rotating shifts will include days and nights with one night of call.

Evening and night shifts do not rotate.

Clinician to patient ratios :

• Labor and Delivery : 1 : 2-3 for evaluations, 1 : 1 for active labor, magnesium infusion or epidural.
• Postpartum : 1 : 3-4.

Patient population includes all mothers and their babies.

Average daily census is 15-25 patients.

The charting system used is EPIC.
