Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA)  is currently seeking a Functional Test Subject Matter Expert (Level D) to join our team in Final Assembly located in North Charleston, South Carolina on 1st shift !

Successful candidates will be responsible for performing tasks in the following areas :  factory floor, flight line, shop area, at height, confined spaces and others. They must be a dynamic, self-motivated teammate. This position is to support the high demand needs of the Final Assembly Production Test team.  The shop supports the 787 program over the entire North Charleston site; working all manner of production tests.

Position Responsibilities :

Develops and implements manufacturing processes

Provides concurrent engineering support

Defines production activities and resolves problems of limited scope

Reviews and approves technical documents

Analyzes charging trends and develops projected workforce forecast

Assists with the preparation and justification for major capital expenditures and equipment implementation

Leads projects and participates in technical research on proposed projects

Serves as primary contact with internal customers

Translates data into a practical plan for implementation within the organization

Compiles and provides management status reports for corrective / preventative action

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience) :

5+ years of experience or training reading and interpreting drawings or blueprints

5+ years of experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment

5+ years of experience in aircraft manufacturing working with cabin production testing

Ability to work any shift based on the needs of the operation

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience) :

Ability to obtain Confined Space Certification

Experience developing root cause corrective actions

3+ years of experience working with operations personnel, production test engineers

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range : $81,900 - $86,450​
