LOGISTICS TECHNICIAN

FAA Covered position

Role Summary/Purpose:

Perform receiving inspection and preparation of outgoing shipping activities to meet customer delivery requirements.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Operate forklift or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area
• Perform Receiving Inspection on Aircraft Engine Components by verifying Part Number, Serial Number, and or Identification Number Matches the P.O. and the physical part
• Compare identifying information and count, weigh, or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
• Unpack and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages
• Verify and record if any obvious damage to the part before releasing to the shop floor
• Correct discrepancies, create E-work, reprint amended Travelers
• Create Router, WPS, in Quantum print and attach router to part
• Route items to departments, or stock room
• Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications
• Assemble and prepare shipment containers including affixing shipping labels on packed cartons or stenciling identifying shipping information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers
• Operate and use the Foam Machine to protect parts during shipping in Cardboard or wooden containers
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma/GED
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Related experience or training
• Requires the ability to read, write, and speak the English language: interpret and follow written procedures, etc., complete documentation, i.e. routers, etc., and follow verbal instructions
• Basic math, computer skills, attention to detail; Hand/eye coordination and analytic skills
• Near Vision: 20/25 (Snellen) at 16” (42 cm) ± 1” (2.54 cm) or equivalent in at least one eye, natural or corrected.
