From airports to boardrooms, our Legal team provides advice and counsel on all aspects of the business, assessing legal risks and compliance, while our Ethics and Compliance team ensures that we run an ethically sound operation. Job overview and responsibilities

United’s Legal Department is a recipient of Corporate Counsel’s Best Legal Department Award! This role provides legal counsel and guidance on all aspects of commercial transactions (with an emphasis on United’s loyalty program related matters, marketing / sponsorship agreements, and media agreements) and related legal matters.

• Independently handle a wide variety of commercial transactional matters, including negotiating and drafting various commercial agreements, with emphasis on those related to United’s loyalty program, marketing / sponsorships, and media agreements
• Independently handle and provide actionable and practical counseling to internal business partners in connection with loyalty program related matters; draft and negotiate loyalty related agreements
• Independently handle and provide actionable and practical counseling to internal business partners in connection with sponsorship and media related matters; draft and negotiate sponsorship and media agreements
• Independently handle and provide actionable and practical counseling to internal business partners in connection with marketing materials and marketing related matters; draft and negotiate marketing related agreements
• Retain and manage outside counsel, as necessary, including budgetary responsibility for engagements

The base pay range for this role is $171,475.00 to $223,246.00.

The base salary range / hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and / or long-term incentive compensation awards.
