Must-Have : Experience with cath lab post-recovery and stroke care preferred

Description :

Department : Telemetry

The unit consists of 18 beds.

Nurse to patient ratios are 4-5 during the day and 5-6 at night.

Common diagnoses include stroke, CHF, ACS, CAD, post-heart catheterization patients, and arrhythmias.

Candidates must have drip experience.

Patients commonly require titration of Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Dopamine.

Heparin is also a medication that requires titration.

Telemetry is available on this unit, and the monitoring technician is responsible for central telemetry.

Registered Nurses must sign off on telemetry strips.

The charge nurse maintains a patient assignment.

Nurse aides are present on the unit, and their ratio depends on patient acuity.

There are 2 certified nursing assistants based on acuity.

The equipment includes BiPAP and High Flow devices.

Shifts are scheduled based on departmental needs.

Every other weekend is required for scheduling.

Holiday rotations are also part of the shift requirements.

Floating to ICU, MS, and ER may occur as needed, with patient assignments within the scope of practice.

Scrubs can be worn in any color.

Department-specific orientation will be provided.

Travelers with previous employment at this facility must disclose it.
