Job description

Manager, Creator Strategy

Location : San Bruno, CA, USA

Experience driving progress, solving problems, and mentoring more junior team members; deeper expertise and applied knowledge within relevant area.

Minimum qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, category management, growth strategy, or analytics.
  • Experience working in a consulting firm in a Business-to-Business (B2B) or Business-to-Consumer (B2C) company in the media or internet industry.
  • Experience developing and influencing business strategies for cross-functional initiatives.

Preferred qualifications :

  • MBA or Master's degree.
  • 2 years of experience creating data sets, data modeling, and reporting.
  • Experience in GenAI.
  • Experience using SQL or data analytics tools to deliver insights and recommendations.
  • Experience communicating and influencing the audiences, including executives.
  • Excellent business judgment, financial modeling, spreadsheet software and presentation software skills.

    In this role, you will lead the modernization of YouTube's creator support, which ensures all our creators get swift resolution to their questions and issues so they can get back to creating great content. You will drive initiatives that launch major leaps forward in our impact and scale efficiency. You will work across Business and Product teams to develop robust answers to critical and complex problems, set the strategy, analyze data to prioritize levers to achieve it, develop those innovations, and land the new ways of working. You will interact with key stakeholders, C-level executives and cross-functional leaders as you drive alignment. You will be an integral part of the Go-To-Market team, investing to further build our community and being a culture-carrier for the team. You will be a key contributor in a high-energy growth environment. You will partner with executive stakeholders to think through strategic issues, and communicate effectively with global teams to drive significant initiatives. You will drive initiatives that launch major leaps forward in our impact and scale efficiency. You will work across Business and Product teams to develop robust answers to critical and complex problems, set the strategy, analyze data to prioritize levers to achieve it, develop those innovations, and land the new ways of working. You will interact with key stakeholders, VP level executives and cross-functional leaders as you drive alignment.

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.

    Responsibilities :

  • Determine how to address solving creator support's biggest opportunities and most challenging problems.
  • Structure, launch and drive workstreams by developing hypotheses; translating these hypotheses into work plans; conducting analysis including YouTube case data, business drivers and operating metrics; and extracting the right insights and implications.
  • Prepare presentations and clearly communicate recommendations to YouTube's executives and the broader organization.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to align on recommendations, execute experimentation plans, and manage change successfully.
