Buyer Position At Bunzl Distribution

As a Buyer at Bunzl Distribution, you will play a key role in strategically replenishing inventory across our Southeast regional warehouses. In this dynamic position, you'll manage a queue of purchasing activities that may be organized by category, market, region, vendor, or customer. You will oversee the full procurement lifecyclefrom identifying demand to final dispositionwhile serving as a primary liaison between Bunzl and our suppliers. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with both domestic and international vendors, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment. This is a M-F, 8am-5pm role, working in our Dallas, TX office. There may be some flexibility to work from home 1-2 days per month if needed.

Responsibilities :

• Communicate with global manufacturers and suppliers regarding orders, inventory and delivery timelines.
• Support supply through product selection, development, and sourcing.
• Monitor pricing, terms and KPIs with manufacturers and suppliers.
• Monitor inventory levels / inventory control among multiple warehouses and ensure maximum efficiency of warehouse space.
• Be a strong team member with peers and other key internal stakeholders, including purchasing, operations, warehouse, finance and sales.
• Deliver the on the KPI / metrics and objectives, ensuring that all actions are in sync with plan defined by local leadership. Metrics may include, but are not limited to :
• Buyer productivity volume, value, turns, and overstock.
• Adherence to category management guidelines or demand plans that ensure preferred vendor relationships and products are core to every buying decision.
• Inventory balance granular to ordering characteristics and aged profile.
• Maintain vender relationships including service level and On Time and In Full (OTIF).
• Identification and capture of opportunities for one-time PBIT improvements.
• Direct and routinely negotiate will all levels of supplier contacts including key challenges in price, availability, lead time, and freight.
