We empower people to break the cycles of homelessness, welfare dependency, substance abuse, and incarceration through innovative work and housing programs.

We are seeking an experienced Program Director to lead operations at our newest permanent supportive housing program, which will provide housing for 39 individuals referred by the NYC Department of Homeless Services, and the remaining 70 units will be apartments for moderate-income households. This housing program aims to offer long-term residential care and around-the-clock supportive services within a community setting. The goal is to enhance residents' independence while ensuring their physical and emotional safety and well-being.

The Program Director will be responsible for recruiting and leading a team of direct care and support staff responsible for the service delivery to a specialized population. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of supportive housing, direct experience working with individuals diagnosed with co-occurring disorders and / or trauma, and a demonstrated commitment to empowering residents toward self-reliance and stability. Additionally, familiarity with relevant New York City agencies as well as funding sources is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the supportive housing program, including implementation of the fiscal, programmatic, and administrative procedures
• Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the administrative, clinical, building maintenance, and residential services of the program
• Monitor program budget and contracts, and ensure that proper documentation is provided for all expenses and accounts
• Oversee the intake process and ensure the program is operating at full capacity at all times
• Provide 24-hour on-call crisis intervention when needed
• Provide training to staff on harm reduction, substance abuse, mental health, and trauma-informed care
• Ensure compliance with DOHMH contract and performance standards
• Responsible for the completion of various reports as required by DOHMH and The Doe Fund
• Provide supervision to clinical staff and ensure that staff are providing adequate supportive case management services to the residents
• Conduct performance evaluations on all supervisees
• Facilitate staff meetings, clinical meetings, and resident community meetings
• Conduct internal audits and quality assurance checks to ensure timely and accurate completion and submission of all required documentation
• Establish and maintain relationships with other agencies and community organizations
• Perform other duties as assigned
