Area Sales Lead

The Area Sales Lead drives sales and storewide results by delivering a positive customer experience and creating attractive product presentations in designated areas that are well-merchandised, signed accurately, and executed efficiently. This role leads the team in providing excellent customer service and setting product presentations and signage aligned with visual merchandising standards. The Area Sales Lead works collaboratively across selling and operations teams to ensure service, merchandising, and operational excellence and achieve store objectives. This is an hourly position, with monthly bonus eligibility.

What you will do :

  • Demonstrate a high level of ownership, accountability, and initiative in achieving store objectives and driving the accomplishment of key metrics.
  • Support the team in creating memorable store experiences through building genuine team, customer, and community relationships.
  • Greet, engage, and assist customers warmly, creating a welcoming environment and providing personalized service to enhance customer shopping experience. Handle customer inquiries and resolve customer concerns with professionalism, promptness, and care.
  • Lead team in effectively executing product presentations, ensuring placement aligns with visual merchandising directives, planograms, and brand standards. Maintain visually appealing selling areas, accurate signage, fitting rooms, and cleanliness through leading daily recovery efforts and stock replenishment.
  • Guide team in executing sale sets and price changes with accuracy and efficiency by printing and preparing signs and monitoring for daily promotional updates. Maintain equipment, devices, tools, and organization of back-of-house areas to promote efficiency.
  • Participate in weekly leadership workload planning meetings to ensure all selling, merchandising, signing, and pricing tasks are planned and scheduled. Utilize inbound manifests, visual merchandising directives, planograms, and company tools to determine required labor hours.
  • Enhance team selling behaviors and key metric performance by communicating daily goals, leading by example, assisting with onboarding, initiating teaching opportunities, and supporting continued learning.
  • Maintain current company policy and procedure knowledge, providing consistent, accurate communication to team. Assist with keeping team well-informed of products, promotions, contests, and store events.
  • Champion associate engagement, sharing team successes and celebrating associate achievements. Foster a positive store culture by ensuring team members understand their role in achieving store goals and feel valued.
  • Lead store fulfillment and asset protection initiatives in designated areas by accurately and efficiently executing omni and operations processes, maintaining product protection standards, and adhering to safety guidelines and security protocols.

  • Skills and experience to perform in the role and a commitment to continuously learn.
  • Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and contribute to store success by teaching, partnering, and encouraging others.
  • Communicate with excellence.
  • Comfortable with technology, including smartphones, tablet computers and Windows-based operating systems.
  • 1+ years of retail experience and a dedication to customer service excellence.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must regularly move around all store areas and be accessible to customers.
  • Must bend, reach, stretch for product as well as lift, carry, and move at least 40 lbs.
