Job description

Job Summary for Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician (Lubbock, TX) :

  • Position : Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician
  • Location : Lubbock, TX
  • Shift : 2 : 30pm - 11 : 00pm, Thursday - Monday
  • Status : Full Time (80 hours per pay period)

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform a wide range of laboratory testing in departments such as Hematology, Chemistry, Transfusion Services, Microbiology, Phlebotomy, Virology, Flow Cytometry, and Apheresis.
  • Operate and maintain state-of-the-art laboratory equipment and technology.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of test results for patient care.
  • Practice critical thinking and decisive judgment to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, including effective listening and clear communication with healthcare team members.
  • Manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

  • Maintain compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards (CAP, CLIA, AABB, FDA).

    • Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 1 year clinical laboratory experience preferred.
  • ASCP certification preferred.
  • Ability to walk, sit, and stand for most of the shift.
