Job Summary and Qualifications

Provides care for patients and performs all duties directly involved with procedures utilizing ionizing radiation for diagnostic or interventional procedures in accordance with ALARA standards. Operates equipment setting appropriate technical factors to produce diagnostic quality images according to radiology practice standards, minimize patient dose, and relay images along with pertinent clinical information to the physician for interpretation. Scrubs and circulates in procedures assisting the Interventionalist. Assists with inventory management and patient scheduling. Takes on-call as assigned to provide after-hours emergency coverage. All employees of North Florida Regional Medical Center will promote a culture of safety, follow established policies, and adhere to all state and federal regulatory requirements, Joint Commission requirements, and National Patient Safety standards.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• State of Florida Registered Radiologic Technologist
• Preferred: 1 year related experience in special procedures.
  
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT) (R)
• Graduate of a Radiology Technology Program
