Grill Cook
Lemontree Healthcare is seeking an experienced and reliable Grill Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality grilled meals for patients, staff, and visitors, ensuring that meals meet health and safety standards, dietary requirements, and patient preferences. The Grill Cook will work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations, while maintaining cleanliness, safety, and a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities :
Prepare and cook grilled items such as burgers, chicken, sandwiches, and other specialty dishes according to established recipes, dietary guidelines, and patient preferences.
Ensure that all grilled foods are cooked to the correct temperature and presentation standards.Maintain a clean and organized grill station, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of cooking equipment.Food Quality and Presentation :Ensure that all meals are prepared fresh, following food safety standards and dietary guidelines.
Plate and present food attractively, adhering to portion control and nutrition guidelines.Adjust cooking methods and ingredients based on patient dietary restrictions or preferences (e.g., low-sodium, gluten-free, etc.).Safety and Sanitation :Follow strict food safety and sanitation protocols, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of food products.
Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen, especially the grill and cooking areas.Ensure that all kitchen equipment, including grills and cooking tools, are cleaned and sanitized at the end of each shift.Adhere to local health and safety regulations and organizational guidelines.Inventory and Stocking :Ensure that grill station is adequately stocked with the necessary ingredients, condiments, and supplies throughout the shift.
Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or supply needs to the kitchen manager or supervisor.Assist with inventory control and proper rotation of food products.Collaboration :Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations, including preparing side dishes, salads, and other components of the meal.
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation and service.Assist with the preparation and cooking of other menu items as needed.Customer Service :Maintain a positive and professional attitude when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
Respond promptly and courteously to any special meal requests or dietary concerns.Work to meet the expectations of patient meal preferences and dietary needs.Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required.Previous experience in a grill cook or similar position, preferably in a healthcare, institutional, or restaurant setting.Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices.Ability to follow detailed recipes and portion control guidelines.Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks efficiently.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.Physical Demands :
Ability to stand and work for extended periods of time.Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.Ability to work in a hot environment with cooking equipment and hot surfaces.Must be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and handle multiple tasks.Working Conditions :
