Description :

The Endoscopy Technician 1, under general supervision, assists with technical procedures, patient care services, and other duties as assigned.

Operates and maintains equipment safely and in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Assists in carrying out procedures which require aseptic techniques while observing standard precautions.

Safely transports equipment to different areas of the facility; prepares patients for exams or procedures and assists clinical staff.

Observes patients, recognizes changes in condition, and promptly seeks appropriate assistance.

Cleans the room before and after procedures and takes soiled equipment to the decontamination area.

Maintains an adequate inventory of equipment and supplies, placing orders in a timely manner.

Sets up procedure rooms by ensuring that all needed equipment and supplies are in the room and in good working order.

Restocks all supplies in assigned rooms at the end of the shift.

Performs quality checks on equipment, ensuring repairs when necessary, and cleans and disinfects specialty equipment according to established policies and procedures.

Takes personal responsibility to participate in performance improvement activities as they are available.

Attends all required in-service education and a portion of staff meetings, if unable to attend, responsible for obtaining content.

The role demands a demonstrated commitment to effective customer service delivery, integrity, and the ability to work productively as a member of a team.
