Position Summary
As a Business Development Executive at Epiphany Blue, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base and driving revenue growth. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, building relationships with prospects, and securing new business partnerships. This is a salaried position with performance-based incentives.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
Research and identify potential clients in target industries.
Generate leads through networking, cold outreach, and attending industry events.
Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
Client Relationship Management
Build long-term relationships with clients to understand their event and experience needs.
Serve as the primary point of contact during the sales process, ensuring a seamless client experience.
Collaborate with the delivery team to align proposals with client objectives.
Sales Strategy Execution
Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Create tailored proposals and presentations that showcase Epiphany Blue’s unique value.
Negotiate contracts and close deals with prospective clients.
Market Insights and Reporting
Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market opportunities.
Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to leadership.
Share insights to enhance marketing and business development strategies.
Compensation Structure
Base Salary
$65,000 - $75,000 annually (based on experience and performance) + Commission
Commission Plan
Competitive commission structure discussed in the interview
Quarterly and annual bonus opportunities based on performance
Job Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
8-10+ years of proven sales or business development experience, preferably within the events, experiential marketing, or agency industry.
Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets and closing mid- to large-scale deals.
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of B2B sales cycles, client prospecting, and lead generation strategies.
Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to engage decision-makers and influencers.
Proven ability to craft compelling proposals and presentations that align with client objectives.
Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace tools.
Strong analytical skills to interpret market trends and sales data for strategic planning.
Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong ability to make an impression and drive business growth.
Preferred Qualifications
B2B sales experience in hospitality, event space, or marketing industries (preferred).
Experience working with corporate clients, brands, or organizations that host large-scale events, conferences, or experiential activations.
Familiarity with event production, marketing campaigns, and agency operations.
Established network of contacts within target industries (corporate, nonprofit, government, or lifestyle sectors).
Other Requirements
While this job is technically remote (not reporting to an office), any candidate MUST BE located in New York City or have the means to commute easily to the NYC or NJ area.
Willingness to attend networking events, conferences, and client meetings (some travel required).
