We are seeking a Preschool Director to join our team in Fremont, CA.The Director is responsible for operating the center in accordance with BK policies and procedures and California state licensing standards to provide an educational, nurturing and safe environment for children, parents, and staff. Meets expectations for delivering exceptional customer service through acquisition and retention, quality program, financial management, operational compliance, and demonstrates expected behaviors.We are looking for an experienced director at Building Kidz! Our ECE center provides quality care and education for infants, toddlers and preschool children . • 16 hours of health and safety training with the two courses :
• EMSA Prevention of Illness & injury- Health and Safety for Licensed child care provider( includes 2016 child care nutrition and 2020 Lead Poisoning prevention update- 8 hour class
• EMSA Licensed Child Care Pediatric (infant,child,adult) CPR & First Aid 8 hours to meet State requirements EMSA Approved ( every two years)Educational Qualifications : Meets education criteria required by the state and CCL : High school diploma or GED and one of the following : 12 core
• ECE semesters units, 3 units of infant and toddler development, and 6 units administration or staff relations plus 4 years of teaching experience in a supervised licensed or comparable group child care programAA degree in ECE with
• core classes and 3 units of infant and toddler development , 6 units of administration, plus 2 years of teaching experienceBA degree in ECE with
• core units and 3 units of administration, 3 units of infant and toddler development, plus 1 year of teaching experienceChild Development Site Supervisor Permit or Program Director Permit from CTC
• 12 core units in Early childhood education must include child / human growth & development; child / family / community or child and family relations; and programs / curriculum. You must have a minimum of three semester units or four quarter units in each of the core areas.
• 16 hours of health and safety training with the two courses : EMSA Prevention of Illness & injury- Health and Safety for Licensed child care provider (includes 2016 child care nutrition and 2020 Lead Poisoning prevention update - 8 hour class)Job Knowledge / Skills : Responsible for accurate and updated record keeping of on-site teacher, child files, Community Care Licensing documentation,Computer skills-must be excellent and at a general business level that includes google workspace competence emails, sheets, slides, docs, met etc.Management of CRM system, online application competence not limited to enrollment, attendance, daily logs, curriculum, child observationsAbility to provide leadership, accept responsibility, work independentlyStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong customer orientationStrong management skillsAbility to multitaskExperience or knowledge working at a start-up center is desirable but not requiredKeeps inventory orders and purchases site supplies as neededProvides developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities for children in accordance with Building kidz curriculum standardsMaintains and follows all health and safety practices in compliance with title 22 and early childhood education standardsConducts and create agendas for site meetings, staff development and training for teachersManages all aspects of employee relations for all teaching staff and is directly involved with interviewing, hiring, and terminations.
