Shipping Clerk

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for coordinating and executing moderately complex shipping and receiving functions. This position ensures the accurate preparation of shipping documentation, scheduling of carriers, and tracking of inbound and outbound shipments. The role serves as a liaison between internal departments and external logistics providers. Communicates with customers to keep them up to date on status of shipments.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare and process shipping documents including bills of lading, packing slips, and invoices for multiple sites.
• Schedule and coordinate freight pickups and deliveries with carriers.
• Track and trace shipments; provide status updates to customers.
• Verify outgoing shipments for accuracy and completeness.
• Investigate and resolve shipping and receiving discrepancies.
• Communicate with carriers to resolve delivery or pickup issues.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments and inventory movement.
• Use shipping software, ERP systems, or TMS platforms for logistics documentation.
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory reconciliation as needed.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards.

WHAT WE OFFER :

Compensation : This is a salaried non-exempt role. This means that employees are paid a salary and also receive overtime pay when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law). The starting salary range for this role and market is between $33,840 - $44,415 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography / market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
