About The Position
We are seeking a Per Diem / On-Call Physician Assistant (PA) to join our healthcare team in Brooklyn, New York. This role provides flexible scheduling while delivering high-quality patient care in collaboration with supervising physicians. Compensation : $62.52 - $91.26 Per Hour Responsibilities :
- Obtain patient histories, perform physical exams, and assess medical conditions.
- Order labs, diagnostic tests, and coordinate patient care under physician supervision.
- Prescribe medications, order fluids and diets, and maintain accurate medical records.
- Perform minor procedures such as suturing, biopsies, incision and drainage, and casts / traction care.
- Assist in surgery, pre- and post-operative care, or specialty procedures as assigned (e.g., GI tests, MMTP, DDS).
- Provide patient education and counseling on treatments, medications, and preventive care.
- Participate in emergency care, including CPR and trauma management.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) and other clinical systems effectively.
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.Experience : Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience for Senior PA designation.Licensure : Licensed and currently registered as a Physician Assistant in New York State.Strong clinical, procedural, and communication skills.Brooklyn is one of the most culturally dynamic and diverse areas of New York City, offering world-class dining, historic neighborhoods, vibrant arts, and convenient access to Manhattan.
