Position Overview
As an Entry-Level Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant, you'll be the welcoming face of our business — the first impression that sets the tone for every customer interaction. In this dynamic, fast-paced role, you'll confidently guide customers to our Sales, Parts, and Service departments based on their equipment needs, all while keeping our store running smoothly behind the scenes. Your friendly attitude, sharp organizational skills, and eye for detail will be key as you manage daily administrative tasks and assist with essential bookkeeping duties.

What You’ll Do : Key Responsibilities
Greet and direct customers in-person and over the phone, ensuring a professional first impressionProvide administrative support such as copying, scanning, filing, and sorting mailHandle daily accounting tasks, including bank deposits, accounts payable entries, and processing credit applicationsProcess credit card payments and maintain accurate records in industry-specific accounting softwareReview employee expense reports for accuracy prior to Corporate submissionMonitor, research, and resolve discrepancies on equipment invoicesAssist in reviewing and finalizing equipment purchase contractsMaintain open, positive communication with sales staff to enhance customer satisfactionCreate, update, and manage databases and spreadsheets; generate reports from multiple business systemsSupport Corporate HR with onboarding, regulatory compliance, and benefits documentationAdhere to all company safety policies and actively participate in scheduled safety meetingsLearn and perform additional tasks and systems as required to ensure smooth and efficient branch operationsRequirements
What We’re Looking For : Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma or GED required; additional technical or vocational training is a plusProficient and accurate with 10-key calculatorStrong verbal and written communication skillsExceptional customer service abilities and professional phone etiquetteProficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Work, and OutlookBasic understanding of accounting principles (debits, credits, journal entries)Familiarity with accounts payable (A / P) and accounts receivable (A / R) processesAble to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize effectivelyHighly organized and detailed-orientedSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and handle sensitive information with discretionWillingness and ability to travel locally for tasks such as bank deposits and post office errandsValid driver’s licensePhysical Requirements
Sitting for extended period and frequent use of hands to type, handle documents, and operate standard office equipment, while occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, push, pull, lean, bend, and twistSpecific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus, especially when working with computer screens and printed materialsRegularly lift / move up to 5 lbs.; occasionally up to 10 lbs.; rarely up to 25 lbs.Preferred Qualifications
