Our client, a "big box" building in NJ, seeks a Director of Construction

This is a confidential role. More comprehensive details will be discussed with qualified candidates. This is an onsite role in Northern NJ. Comp is 200K+

Scope : Plan projects and oversee progress. Responsible for budgeting, organization, implementation, and scheduling.

Responsibilities :

  • Scheduling subcontractors, vendors and consultants
  • Maintaining compliance and quality control
  • Communicating with project team regarding ASI’s, RFI’s and Material submittals
  • Coordinate inspections
  • Lead for permits and approvals
  • Daily walk throughs
  • Lead pre-construction meetings

Desired Qualifications :

  • Extensive experience managing projects from start to finish
  • Strong leadership and mentoring experience
  • Proficient with construction, building management and maintenance software preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints and physically must be able to lift in excess of 75 pounds
  • 10-Hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health Certification; 30-Hour OSHA preferred
