Koloma is a geologic hydrogen company that leverages its technology, proprietary data, and human capital advantages to identify and commercialize these resources on a global scale. We are developing technologies that will enable the production of low cost, reliable, carbon-free hydrogen. Our team is led by seasoned energy executives and world-renowned technical thought leaders. We are looking for a fantastic Regulatory & Permitting Coordinator to join our team in Denver, CO.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in land and or regulatory departments in an energy development company such as oil and gas, mining or geothermal
- Strong, proven experience navigating regulatory requirements for permitting energy projects within federal, tribal, and state environments
- Experience building relationships with external stakeholders, state / county / municipal officials and community partners
- Direct experience with the Bureau of Indian Affairs and Bureau of Land Management agencies is strongly preferred
- Demonstrates adaptability, team-oriented disposition, and ability to work and collaborate with a diverse group of energy professionals and stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Land Management, Environmental Science or another relevant fieldExperience with multi-disciplinary oil and gas or renewable energy development teamsAbility to prioritize and efficiently manage multiple projects with minimal supervisionJob Responsibilities
Lead the coordination, preparation, and submission of permits required for exploration and development activities across federal, tribal, state, and local jurisdictionsEnsure compliance with all applicable permitting requirements and maintain active relationships with regulatory agencies, including BLM, BIA, and state, tribal, or local authoritiesContribute to the development and refinement of stakeholder engagement plans, supporting collaboration with community partners and local officials ahead of operationsServe as the primary liaison between Koloma’s internal teams and external regulatory or community stakeholders to align permitting and exploration objectivesAdvise cross-functional teams on regulatory pathways, permitting risks, and compliance considerations throughout project planning and executionTravel regularly (up to 50%) to field locations to oversee permitting, stakeholder, and compliance activitiesOnboarding Notes
