Inventory Control Specialist - SAP / Cycle Counts
Location : Coppell, TX area (Onsite)
Schedule : Monday–Friday, 7 : 00 AM – 4 : 00 PM
About the Role :
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to help maintain accurate inventory records and support warehouse operations. This role is hands-on and system-driven — requiring strong ERP (SAP preferred) and Excel skills, cycle counting experience, and the ability to safely handle fragile products. You’ll play a vital part in ensuring stock accuracy, processing returns, and supporting inbound / outbound shipments to keep our operations running smoothly and our customers satisfied.
Responsibilities :
Perform daily cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies within the ERP system.
Research, document, and resolve inventory variances and customer-reported shipping issues.
Process customer and manufacturer returns accurately and safely; prepare rejected materials for destruction when required.
Safely handle fragile items (vials, glass tubes), ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
Conduct serial number verification for reported issues and inventory accuracy checks.
Support inbound and outbound shipments, including unloading, staging, and verifying accuracy against purchase orders.
Operate sit-down and stand-up reach forklifts (certified or trainable).
Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas in compliance with policies and procedures.
Follow documented ERP and SOP processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Use Excel to manage and review inventory data, perform lookups, and support analysis.
Communicate effectively with inventory, warehouse, quality assurance, finance, and customer service teams.
Continuously look for process improvements and ways to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 1 year of warehouse / inventory experience (receiving, inventory control, or shipping).
Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Strong foundation in Excel (data entry, lookups, basic reporting).
Experience with cycle counts, returns, and variance resolution.
Ability to safely operate forklifts and reach trucks (or willingness to be trained / certified).
Physically able to move product from bins / pallets and perform cycle counts.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow processes(errors must not exceed 1%) .
Ability to work with urgency while maintaining accuracy.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Solid communication skills and teamwork mindset.
Customer service mindset with professionalism and accountability.
Preferred : Experience in pharmaceutical distribution or highly regulated environments.
