The Outpatient Clinician is accountable to the Outpatient Clinical Supervisor to provide therapy and casework (where applicable) to clients they are assigned within a wide range of presenting concerns and diagnostic criteria within the office setting.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Traditional Outpatient :
- Conduct assigned intake assessments for counseling, completing all required paperwork.
- Provide individual, family and / or multi-systems therapy for assigned clients.
- Maintain appropriate and timely progress notes and files on each client.
- Participate in biweekly individual supervision with the Outpatient Clinical Supervisor.
- Participate in bimonthly group team meetings presenting on cases and clinical topics as required. Participation includes the sharing of ideas, feedback, and department planning. Seek and solicit feedback as needed.
- Continually assess client’s needs and make appropriate referrals if additional services or a more intensive level of care is needed.
- Develop Treatment Plans, Quarterly Reviews, Discharge Summaries, Clinical Progress Notes, and other documents as required by contract.
- Coordinate the transfer / discharge process for the client and family, informing Outreach Clinical Supervisor, and necessary support staff of projected transfer / discharge goals.
- Monitor the quality of overall treatment services to clients on their caseload; and evaluate the adequacy of these services to meet treatment objectives. Communicate effectively with Wedgwood’s Psychiatric services regarding clinical as well as case management / financial issues as needs arise.

Use the knowledge and skills of his / her supervisor to increase both counseling and administrative skills.Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position. The employee must maintain a consistent work schedule and be available during the assigned hours to perform the duties of this role.Other duties as assigned.SUD :
Work with the client, family, and other involved individuals, i.e. school personnel, probation officer, mentor, DHHS, medical personnel, etc. For the purposes of coordination of care, follow community partner, PIHP, CMH, and agency guidelines when providing treatment with patients receiving Medication-Assisted Treatment or other medical treatment. Provide education to clients, family, and other involved parties on MAT.Registration and continuous training completion toward a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) Development Plan from Michigan Certified Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP)QUALIFICATIONS :
Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related field, from an accredited institution.Experience providing individual, family and group counseling, preferred.Required to provide proof of limited or full license in one of the following areas : Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy.Subscription to the Statement of Faith of Wedgwood Christian Services and agreement with the goal, purpose and objectives of the agency.HOURS OF WORK : Monday-Friday, variable hours between 8am-7pm
Compensation :
Limited License : $62,500 to 65,000 / year
Full License : $74,500 to $78,250 / year
