We're seeking a Senior Benefits Administrator to join a collaborative HR team in Waltham, MA for a temporary assignment through June. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented HR professional with deep knowledge of health and welfare plans, ACA reporting, and compliance who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
You'll play a critical role in ensuring benefits programs are administered accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with federal and state regulations.
What You'll Do
Administer and ensure compliance for health and welfare benefit programs
Oversee Affordable Care Act (ACA) reporting, 5500 filings , and other compliance-related activities
Maintain adherence to ERISA , HIPAA , and other labor laws and filing requirements
Partner with plan providers to ensure smooth and efficient benefits administration
Manage employee benefits throughout the lifecycle-new hires, life events, open enrollment, and terminations
Serve as the primary contact for employees and leadership on complex benefits questions
Oversee benefits invoicing , self-billing, and timely payment of benefit premiums
Maintain the Oracle Benefits Module , ensuring system accuracy, data integrity, and successful integrations
Collaborate cross-functionally with Payroll, HRIS, HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, and Legal
Support audits, government filings, and create reports to analyze and summarize trends
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field
Strong experience in health and welfare benefits administration and compliance
Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs) and proficiency in Word and PowerPoint
Experience with Oracle HRMS or similar HRIS systems preferred
Excellent attention to detail, communication, and analytical skills
Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
Strong working knowledge of HIPAA, ERISA, ACA , and related benefits regulations
